I have an essay due for one of my classes this week, and I totally forgot about it. It’s due Sunday night, but that’s not going to stop me from procrastinating some more! 😀 It has to be 8-10 pages long. Ugh! This is why I hate literature, but it’s hopefully the last book analysis I’ll ever have to do.
I finished writing a chapter in my book Resurrected! I’m more than half way done with it. I’m not writing it in order though hahahaha! Sometimes I get inspiration for a specific scene or idea that won’t happen until the middle or end of the book, but I just start writing it anyway to get it out of my head. I finished chapter 10 even though I’ve only gotten up to chapter 5 finished. There’s going to be 11 chapters altogether. I like to write out an outline and do bullet points on what I want to happen in each chapter. I have very specific ideas on certain chapters, and I know how I want it to end; however, I have no idea about all the “in-between” parts leading up to it. That’s where I get stuck.
I decided to create a list of all the books I’ve been reading. I usually finish a 300 page book in a day or two. I’m into fantasy/paranormal/young adult genres.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (I read the entire trilogy in about 3 or 4 days)
The Hidden Trilogy by Amy Patrick ( I finished this trilogy in about 3 or 4 days too)
Kissed by Kimberly Loth (I only read the first book in this 4 book series. I didn’t care to read the rest because the main character wasn’t going to end up with the guy I liked hahahaha!)
The Gifting by K.E. Ganshert (I’m currently reading this series. I just started the second book. I’m really liking it so far)
If you’re a reader and enjoy the same genre, I highly recommend you check these books out. They’re pretty good!
Here’s a fun little fact about me: I enjoy spoilers. I like knowing what happens, so for The Hidden Trilogy, after I finished the first book, I wanted to know if the main character would end up with the guy I wanted her to be with. I looked online and read the reviews, but no one gave it away. Here’s where it gets funny… I read on my kindle, by the way. Anyway, I decided to buy the last book in the series and flipped to the last page to see who the main character ended up with. I was satisfied with the ending, so bought the rest of the series after that hahahahaha! I get so emotionally caught up in books that it effects my mood for days, so it’s better this way. I’m not as stressed and emotionally depleted because I know the ending will be happy. Is anyone else weird like me? hahaha! God I hope so.
