New Editorial Review

I got my editorial review back! 😀 I’ll post it below for you to read.

“I just finished reading Inhuman, the first book by debut author Heather Quinto, and all I can say is that I am certainly impressed. This book follows the story of Annemarie, a young woman who is not accepted by her family, not even by her own parents. However, she is doing her best to deal with the unusual gifts she’s been given. Gifts that few, not even Annemarie herself, understand. Shapeshifters, werewolves, skinwalkers, angels, demons and more make up just some of the characters Annemarie comes into contact with and desperately needs to learn about, so she can better understand herself. Couple this with normal high school intrigue and Annemarie’s first blush with love, and this book is one that will draw you in from the beginning.

‘Heather Quinto’s writing style is so wonderfully aligned with the thoughts and emotions that one would expect a young adult reader to have. Inhuman is a great debut novel with an interesting and engaging storyline. This would appeal to any young adult who loves fantasy and paranormal fiction, with a healthy dose of romance thrown in. Think the Twilight series if you need books to compare this to. I did find some issues with grammar, but not enough to keep me from reading. All in all, Heather Quinto’s debut novel, Inhuman, is a wonderful first work, and I look forward to much more from this author in the future!”

I love it! I don’t like the grammar part, but since I did most of the editing myself, there’s bound to be some things I overlooked. I’m really excited about this because I take pride in my writing. It also helps that I wrote this book when I was 15, so of course it’s going to have a teenager’s voice. It was written by a teenager 😛

My guide, Daniel, had a word with me yesterday and told me that I need to take a month off of readings to ground myself. I need to take a break from the spiritual side of life for a bit to ground myself more because my head is too stuck in the clouds. He also says my break will help my channeling and help to refresh myself. I wasn’t happy about it, but I knew he was right. I could feel myself becoming drained. I’m taking a month off from readings. I do have some readings, so don’t worry, I’m not rescheduling or canceling our appointment. I’ll still do our reading 🙂 I just won’t be scheduling anymore until October. Taking a break was such a hard thing to do, but I know I need it. Especially because I know the month of October is going to be a big month for me. I can just feel it.

In other news! My best friend from Germany is arriving today! I call her my sister <3 I know her visit will help ground me even more because I probably won’t be channeling as often when she’s here.
