The Anniversary of When I First Met Daniel

Today is the anniversary of when I first met my guide, Daniel back in 2010. At the time I had no idea that he was a guide because I had no idea that the concept of spirit guides even existed. I was convinced that he was an angel of some sort or maybe some future husband of mine hahahahaha! Anyway, here is my story of when I met Daniel.

I remember when I was 15, and I got really sick. It was February, and the seasons were changing. My illness took me over suddenly. I was bedridden for an entire week with no sign of improvement. I just kept getting weaker and weaker. Eventually I couldn’t even get out of bed or keep my head up. It didn’t help that I was going through depression, so I had little fight in me to get over this illness. It got so bad that my mother was planning on taking me to the hospital.

One day, I decided to go to sleep without taking any medicine or putting a cold, wet towel on my forehead. I knew if I did this I was going to die in my sleep from my illness. I could feel death creeping up on me, and I was relieved. I wanted to leave so badly by this point, so I went to bed excited as I awaited death. I had the most vivid dream, and I was guided to a bathroom that was completely made out of black tile. There was only an old fashioned looking bathtub in the bathroom. I was with Daniel in the dream. He walked me to the bathtub, and turned on the faucet to fill up the tub. There was no plumbing though, so I was wondering where the water was coming from.

I looked at Daniel, and he was tall. Maybe around 6 feet 2 inches, and he had light brown hair that was cut short. He had the most mesmerizing blue eyes I had ever seen. He felt so familiar, and it was like I knew him. He wore a white-collared buttoned up shirt, blue jeans with a belt, and he was bare foot.

After the tub was filled up, he told me to step into it. I felt self conscious with undressing myself in front of him, and he just laughed and said he won’t look at me if I didn’t want him to. After I undressed myself, I put one foot into the bathtub and quickly pulled it out. “It’s freezing,” I exclaimed. He said, “it needs to be in order to get rid of your fever. Just step into the water. I promise you’ll be okay.” I slowly sat in the freezing cold water. He got out a loofa and started to wash my body. This part may sound sexual, but it wasn’t at all. It felt more like a parent giving a child a bath.

I continued to stare at him, and at his hypnotizing eyes. I asked him who he was. “My name is Daniel, and I already know who you are,” he said. I asked him how he knew me, and he said, “I’ve known you for a long time.” I asked him if he was my guardian angel, and he laughed and said, “no. I’m not that good.” He finished washing me, and said, “okay, you should be all better now. You have to wake up. You have to go to school.” I became confused, “but I’m sick. I can’t go to school.” Daniel said, “you’re healed. When you wake up you’ll be better. When you wake up, your fever will be gone.”

Daniel stood up, and I grabbed his arm. I didn’t want him to go. I had so many unanswered questions. “Will I ever see you again,” I asked. He knelt down beside me and smiled, “we’ll meet again some day.” I asked him when and he said, “soon.” He kissed my forehead. “Now wake up. You have to go to school. Wake up.” I woke up from the dream, and I suddenly felt better. My fever was gone, and I no longer felt sick. It was like it never happened. My mother felt my clothes and my bed sheets to see if I had sweat out my fever, but nothing was wet and nothing smelled like dry sweat.

I hope ya’ll enjoyed that 🙂 If you haven’t already, check out my new short story! It’s available for free on Kindle until Friday. Also, for those that read it, could you please leave a review on Amazon? It’d really help out this aspiring writer 🙂 For those that have already written a review, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! It truly means a lot to me.

Here is a picture of someone close to what Daniel looks like. He resembles that actor from the Hunger Games a lot, but his jaw isn’t as prominent.
